Description

This 14 page packet contains everything you need to conduct a 3 part lesson on the political, economic and social changes of the 1920's (U.S. History).

ALL WORKSHEETS and STEP BY STEP TEACHER DIRECTIONS to each of the lessons are included in this packet! The activities contained in this packet are a perfect complement to the 1920's lessons you already teach!

The 3 parts to this lesson are:

1) Students will be assigned a key figure from the 1920's to research and role-play. Graphic Organizer to guide their research is included!

2) Students will attend a 1920's party in your classroom "speakeasy" where they will get to take on the persona of the key figure they researched. A Graphic Organizer is included.

3) Students will participate in a class discussion using a strategy called "Philosophical Chairs". During this discussion teacher will guide the discussion using guided questions (included).

4) At the end of the 3 part lesson students will complete a 5-square graphic organizer as a pre-writing activity.

Assessment: Students use pre-write to write a paragraph/essay (teacher choice) on the important changes of the 1920's using what they have learned from Parts 1-3 of the lesson and prior knowledge.

Includes a Google and Traditional Version!
