Camelia Grymes

After practicing law for nearly 12 years, I made teaching my second career.  I am passionate about delivering quality lessons and connecting with students.  I have been fortunate to teach and substitute teach students of nearly every grade level and ability in several unique environments across the State of New York, including a high school in downtown Manhattan, several schools in Rockland County, and a hospital in the Lower Hudson Valley area.  My areas of certification are Social Studies (grades 5-12) and Special Education (grades 7-12).  I hope, in the next few years, to add a certification in the Italian language. 

 

Although I've taught nearly every subject, my passion is high school history!  My goal is to craft lessons that put students in the driver's seat and keep them engaged from start to finish.  In the coming months, I hope to post a library of lessons that delivers historical content in ways students will enjoy (or at least remember!).
