Laura Pennington is a former middle school Social Studies teacher turned freelance writer with a bachelor's in economics and a master's degree in political science. She is currently ABD with her PhD in public policy. Laura's lesson plans focus on engaging, thought-provoking activities for students in middle and high school Social Studies, many of which are DBQ or critical thinking-based.  Most of her hour-long lessons are grab and go, making them appropriate for the teacher in a hurry or for substitute lesson plans. Laura's lesson plans are for teachers of World & U.S. history, geography, and government/civics. She started making her lesson plans available for sale after receiving numerous remarks from her school administration about the quality of her materials.
