Description
This ROARING 20's Document Based Activity allows your students to examine and analyze documents from the 1920's that provide information on the causes of prosperity in the 1920's and how this "boom" affected average Americans. This is a great activity for students to complete following a lecture on the economy/politics of the 1920's.
Specifically in this activity:
- Students could work individually to read and analyze each document excerpt, or they could work in pairs, or this activity could be sent home for homework. (teacher choice)
- As students examine 7 short primary source excerpts they answer comprehension questions to guide understanding. (answer key included)
- At the conclusion of the activity students "Put it all together", and use evidence form the sources to write a short paragraph response to the essential questions. (What caused the prosperity of the 20's and how did this prosperity affect the average American?)
- A CREATIVE Exit Card Activity is included!
