Whether you use Dr. Seuss books for an author study (perhaps around his birthday in March) or as a segway to using rhyming words for writing and poetry, this 45-page unit contains activities which can be used for many of his books. It focuses on: The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Bartholomew and the Oobleck, The Lorax, and All the Places You Go. It includes a section at the end that can be used for other books written by Dr. Seuss. Activities include: rhyming words, character traits, writing assessments, brainstorming, science experiment and some bulletin board ideas.
