I first started teaching 3rd grade in 2004 in Florida. In 2006 I began teaching 2nd grade for the U.S. Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDs) in Okinawa, Japan. (DoDDs schools teach the children of American service members, so we have a U.S. based curriculum.) In 2011 DoDDs granted me a transfer to Germany where I taught first grade for one year. After which, in 2012, we transferred locations in Germany, and I have since been teaching high school social studies and high school German. I've taught a variety of social studies courses since 2012, to include: Law, Government, World History, Economics, Psychology and Sociology.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I believe in using a lot of visuals: video, photographs, artwork, etc. to help students understand what would otherwise be abstract concepts.
