In this 46 page activity, your students will learn about the origins of democracy and will trace the spread of democracy from Greece and Rome to England, the U.S.A and France.

Students will complete a series of activities, including a map activity, video activity, activating prior knowledge poster walk, and will visit 9 “stations” to examine the events that helped spread democracy. (Use all of the activities included in this lesson or each could be used alone!)

“Station” topics include: The contributions of- Greece, Rome, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, Reformation, Enlightenment, Glorious Revolution, American Revolution, and the French Revolution- on the spread of Democracy throughout the world.
