This simulation is part of the World History Rawks Simulations BUNDLE!
Bring history to life by recreating the world of trading, shipping and banking during the Renaissance. Students will role play as a merchants. Each round they will choose a product to ship. They will also choose whether to borrow money and buy insurance from the Medici, Bardi or Albizzi banks. After each round they will briefly explain the financial decisions they made. Finally, they will find out if their product made it to port and whether they made a profit or are in debt. There is no activity that better brings the risky and exciting world of Mediterranean trade in the Renaissance to life!

The activity concludes with a day two letter writing workshop where students will reflect on their experience as their character while working on writing skills. There is even a modified letter handout to help all students. Finally, a printable or Google Form Quiz is included!
