In this 9 page “Roman Empire” packet (6 Reading Handouts and 3 student worksheets) students will examine the Roman contributions made in government, religion, science, literature, language, law and architecture.
Essential Questions: What were some of the Roman contributions made to the world and where can you see evidence of these accomplishments around you?
Students will read short, highly visual articles on each Roman contribution (i.e. architecture, medicine, religion, literature etc.), and then will answer comprehension questions about the articles to check understanding. Lastly, students will list all of the Roman contributions on a chart and will identify where they see evidence of those contributions in their world.
