TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching for six years in USA and ten years more in Spain. Currently I worked as science composite teacher and IP specialist in Liberty HS (HISD). I am teaching ESL Biology, ESL Physics, ESL Chemistry and ESL Environmental Systems.
My goal is to help prepare students to thrive in our interconnected world, by developing their creativity, composition, digital citizenship and intercultural communication skills. When I am planning my lessons, I use UbD (Understanding by Design) as my educational approach. Always having in mind, the end (backwards design) I create engaging lessons where all the different circumstances of my students are considered. As an ESL specialist, language is always a key part of my projects and lessons. All the material that I have created can be easily used with ESL students without lowering the content level.
