In this activity your students will be able to identify and briefly describe the purpose of 20 important Landmarks in Washington D.C.
Your students will:
1) Watch a short public access video to be introduced to 20 landmarks.
2) Complete a series of worksheets in which they label pictures of the 20 landmarks and label a map of the location of the landmarks in Washington D.C.
3) Be assigned 1 landmark to research briefly; answering a set of specific questions and will share with the class what they learned about the Landmarks.
4) Complete 20 "trading card" style study cards to use as a study guide for a quiz on the landmarks.
All Power-point slides, student worksheets, answer key and STEP BY STEP Teacher directions are included.
