Description

This is a bundled crossword puzzle set for a unit on the weather and the atmosphere. I assign this crossword puzzle series in my eighth grade physical science class. Each of the five crossword puzzles featured has a different theme: heating of the Earth, air pressure, winds, moisture in the air, and weather patterns. Students reinforce a total of sixty-two vocabulary terms in the complete series. Each crossword puzzle is a single page activity with the clues conveniently placed below the puzzle.

I provided two one-page options for a word bank. The first one is a combined word bank for all five crosswords with the sixty-two terms listed alphabetically in three columns. The second one offers five separate word banks, each listed under their respective title. The latter is more of an accommodation for students in need.

This complete PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat DC Reader app.

I included an answer key for each crossword puzzle with the answers in red font.
