I specialize in creating social stories that work for both direct and group social skills instruction.
The stories are created as non-editable Power Point presentations and cover variety of topics, such as anxiety, routines, relationships and personal hygiene.
You can either use a paper book or present on a large screen during group instruction.

***Social stories are an effective way to supplement the existing behavior management plan at home or school, increase structure and reduce anxiety. The purpose of social stories is to teach routines, reinforce positive behaviors, prepare for events and help decrease undesired behaviors. The narrative structure is very consistent: stating problem behavior, teaching replacement behavior and providing positive reinforcement. In order to be appealing for a learner, a social story needs to have a visual aspect and positive/non-judgmental tone. Social stories are most effective when used consistently and when they become a part of student’s daily routine. ***
