Welcome to “Hook Them with History. - Stuart’s US History PowerPoints”. I’m Doug Stuart, currently a retired Social Studies Teacher. I have 35 years of teaching experience in US History, Geography, Government, and many other courses. The Last 28 years of teaching I have been at Pinkerton Academy, in Derry, NH, the state’s largest high school with 3600 students, (28 Social Studies teachers). I believe in teaching history, you need to bring it alive, make it relevant, and keep it fun, and the kids will focus and come back for more. These PowerPoints were all used in the classroom for years (and revised and annotated for you). They work. These are only part of teaching; the other part is you. Have fun! I’m always open to suggestions and comments at hookthemonhistory@yahoo.com
