    Michelle Holt, Texas History Teacher

    TEACHING EXPERIENCE

    Over 25 years teaching. I have 10 years’ experience in teaching 2nd grade self-contained. I taught Music on elementary campuses for 5 years. I have served as campus Literacy Coach and Reading Recovery teacher for several years. I have 6 years’ experience teaching Middle School Reading/ English/ Language Arts. I am in my second year of teaching 7th grade Texas History, and I am loving this leg of my educational journey!

    MY TEACHING STYLE

    I teach in a style that fosters curiosity and collaboration in students. I utilize many cooperative learning strategies. I also use Whole Brain Teaching strategies on a daily basis to ignite engagement and optimal learning experiences in my room. I believe in learning something new every day about the content that I am teaching. I enjoy learning with my students.
