Activate the scientist within all students through minds-on and hands-on learning opportunities.  Creating practical and engaging activities that are designed for, and aligned with the NGSS, is my goal. These are resources I have developed for the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) that I use in my own 8th grade physical science classroom and materials I have created that teachers in other 6th-8th grade science classes always ask to use.

I have over 20 years experience teaching science in grades 6-12 and have been actively involved in developing and teaching professional development opportunities related to science instructional best practices and differentiating for exceptional students including Visually Impaired, Special Needs, and Gifted.  In addition to my regular work for district curriculum committees and numerous professional development sessions, I have presented at both the NSTA National Conference in Chicago in 2015 on and the NSTA Regional Conference in Milwaukee in 2017.

I take pride in my materials and guarantee satisfaction. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me at science@ratelis.com"
