Our Self-Contained Classroom

I have been an educator for 16 years, with most of my career dedicated to Special Education. This year, I am excited to begin a new chapter as a teacher in a self-contained high school classroom, working with students in grades 10–12. My passion is helping students who are non-readers develop the practical life skills they will need to become more independent adults. I believe learning should be meaningful, accessible, and connected to real life. From cooking and money skills to communication, community awareness, and everyday independence, my goal is to create resources that help students build confidence and prepare for life beyond the classroom. I create simple, engaging, and accessible resources designed with my students in mind—and with the hope that they can help other teachers and their students, too.
