Description

Are you looking for a quick way to cover the Presidency of Bill Clinton? By the time I get to Clinton, I am RACING to finish before our state test. I struggled to find something engaging - then I finally came up with this activity that students LOVE! This is a GREAT activity that I use to cover Clinton in 1 class period. Students love it when I add my 90s playlist as background music. It's a print and go activity! Great for a day you have a substitute!

PLEASE NOTE! This was created because I needed to teach Clinton's Presidency in 1 day. It is not an in-depth activity! It covers the basics and allows students to show their creativity.

  • Students will read short summaries of 7 key events in Clinton's Presidency (included in this purchase). These events are listed below. Students will then create a visual summary inside the bubble letters and then write a summary in their own words in the boxes. I told my students that I should be able to tell that they understand the event by simply looking at their letters!

While students were working, I played my Spotify 90s playlist and they loved every minute of it! Class "Sing Alongs" are encouraged with this activity!

What is included?

  • Instructions for the teacher
  • Summaries of each of the 7 events (see below)
  • Clinton blank page for students to write on (See images)

-Summaries of the following events:

  • Balkans Crisis
  • Clinton-Lewinsky Affair (leading to impeachment)
  • The Contract with America
  • NAFTA
  • Oklahoma City Bombing
  • The Economy
  • Hillary Clinton leading Healthcare Reform

If you need to swap out an event with your own topic, of course you can!

I have a similar activity on Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford & George H. Bush and Reagan you might want to check out!
