Jamestown Artifacts Activity

Introduce Jamestown Colony to your students with this artifact analysis activity!

In this activity, students will follow a set of directions that will guide them through the various artifacts that were discovered at Jamestown. Students will see and read about primary source artifacts and summarize what they learned. There is a simple table on the document for students to fill in and list their discoveries.

A possible extension to this activity is to challenge the students to explain what they could learn about Jamestown based on the artifacts they found.

I use this activity as an introduction to Jamestown and my students really enjoyed exploring the website and learning about different artifacts.
