USA Make a Map! United States Interactive Bulletin Board Geography Activity

Build a giant wall map of the USA!

Assign each student a state. Then piece the United States together, state-by-state on your bulletin board. Finished map is HUGE: the contiguous 48 states measure 73in (L) x 55in (H). This map has been designed to be easy to piece together in your classroom. Complete illustrated step-by-step lesson instructions are included.

There are four versions so you can customize this map for your needs:

1) States in color with a fun font for the state name--students simply cut out the states and piece them together

2) States in color but otherwise blank--students can label and decorate the states before piecing the map together

3) Outline of states (no color) but with the state name printed on it--you might choose to print on colors of your choice

4) Outline of states (no color) and completely blank--totally open ended for you and your students to choose the color and decoration
