Ancient Egyptian Mummification Primary Source Analysis Activity

Students will read and analyze a passage on the purpose and making of ancient Egyptian mummies by answering 12 questions and completing 3 creative tasks. This would be great for a sub! The answers are included where appropriate.  

Sample questions and tasks include:
--Explain the purpose of mummification.
--Using context clues, what does "interred" mean?
--How does the Bargain Treatment compare to the royal and deluxe options?
--Why there is a difference in what we see in Egyptian tombs today and what was initially sealed in the tombs?
--List and describe 3 booby traps and 1 curse you would set up for tomb robbers to protect yourself and your belongings.
