Case 2 Mungo Man and The Ethics of Archaeology Lesson

This worksheet and PowerPoint Presentation are to supplement the podcast History Detective. Case 2: These Old Bones, explores the story of Mungo Man and how his discovery changed the narrative of Australian History forever. These resources could be used a context study for a civil rights of Indigenous peoples, an Ancient overview or archaeology unit or a study of ethics in historical preservation of bodies. Students will build vocabulary, analyse sources, engage with the historical concepts of significance, usefulness and ethics and complete further research.
