Causes of WW1 DBQ

Students analyze 14 documents, answer 14 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review the causes of WW1 (WWI). There are 10 essay prompts for students to pick from (some are similar to each other but students would need to pay attention to the slight variations in order to write accurately, one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub! The documents include 5 images, 1 map, and 8 text excerpts.  ***Some of the sourcing is a bit generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***

Sample questions include:
--Inferring from the context and historical situation, what was Roosevelt referring to in Document 2?
--Which cause of WW1 is depicted in Document 5? How do you know that?
--Identify the event being described in Document 9, and what domino type event it initiated.
--Identify in your own words, the intention of Document 13 and its role in the causes of WW1.
--What type of treaty was formed in Document 14, and explain its role in the outbreak of WW1.
