Product Description
Historians differ on the underlying causes of war. This four step process will help them process different theories behind various global conflicts.
In this activity, students first are asked to define each of those causes/theories and then read through the headings of 19 different wars. They will only be given the name of the conflict, year, who fought and what was at stake. The battles range from Ancient World conflicts (BCE) to recent wars. Using that data they will categorize the cause of the war and write a short explanation of their reasoning.
After this four step process, they will be able to gauge how wars can be categorized and explained in a broader content.
This activity can be given as group activity and/or independent practice for writing a DBQ
