This biography series on important figures in American history between the mid-16th and early 20th centuries will engage your students for an entire year!
The resource includes 37 biographies that can either be printed directly OR readily converted to digital activities using Google Slides.
Each biography includes a series of questions based on the reading. Questions range from identification to drawing conclusions.
In using this in my own classroom, students are encouraged to:
1. Number the paragraphs
2. Read the biography
3. Highlight answers in the reading
4. Use complete sentences.
Answer keys for each biography demonstrate these steps.
These biographies are a wonderful way of encouraging a deeper connection with the individuals studied in class and are a great resource for distance learning.
