What time is it? Game

In this telling time game, students will be practicing and reviewing time on an analog clock. No prep required; print the game board and clock cards and the kids can start playing. This set includes 4 different game boards, 72 analog clock cards, and includes a template to create your own clocks. The clocks show time at the hour, quarter past, half past, and quarter to.

About the Telling Time Game

Before starting, choose a game board. Print out the game board(s) on cardstock. Laminate or place in a plastic sheet protector. Cut out the clock playing cards and trim to size. Students will follow the simple game instructions. Game players will need a copy of the game board and a die. Small coins or paper pieces can be used as pawns.

 Telling Time Game Directions

Roll the die to see who goes first. The person who rolls the highest number goes first. Clock cards should be placed faced down near the game board. The player flips a card and tries to figure out what time it is.

If the player gets the time right, they can roll the die and move that number on the game board. The next person takes their turn. If the players gets it wrong or can’t solve the time shown on the clock within 30 seconds, place the card at the bottom of the draw pile. The next person takes their turn, drawing a card and trying to figure out the time. Play continues in this manner until the first person reaches the end of game board. Player must roll the exact number of spaces to enter the end space.

This is a fun math game that can be used over and over again in your classroom.
