Have fun working on modified nouns with a variety of foods in this shopping game!
Contents
-60 food cards with at least one suggested word to make a modified noun for each picture card.
-One large shopping basket page with the carrier phrase “Put the --- food in the basket.
-One foldable page with the same shopping basket and carrier phrase.
Ideas
-Work with students one on one, in small groups, or with the entire class.
-Work in a field of two and increase cards as students become more comfortable with the activity.
-Students can take turns finding and asking the teacher/peers to find the described foods using a variety of modified nouns.
-Put the basket in front of a small box for students to put into or fold the double page and tape edges to create a basket for the students.
