Description
An algebra formula chart that covers Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in one file. 12 reference charts carrying 82 named formulas and rules, then 3 blank pages for recall practice.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- 12 one-page reference charts, one topic per page, US Letter, low-ink
- 82 named entries in all, each stating its formula or rule in full with a plain-English note beneath it
- Algebra 1: linear equations and slope; exponent rules; factoring and special products; quadratic functions and equations; radicals; inequalities and absolute value
- Algebra 2: polynomials and their roots; complex numbers; rational expressions and their graphs; exponential and logarithmic functions; transformations, composition and inverses; sequences and series
- 3 blank pages: an Algebra 1 recall chart and an Algebra 2 recall chart, each printing the formula names with the space beside them empty, and a Build Your Own Formula Chart page with a write-on rule beside each heading
- A contents page that also explains the notation and says what the set does not cover
WHY THIS CHART
- Conditions are printed with the formula, not left off. The a ≠ 0 on the quadratic formula, the b > 0 on the radical quotient rule, the |r| < 1 on an infinite geometric series — those are where marks are lost, and a chart that hides them teaches the rule wrong.
- Every entry carries a plain-English note as well as the symbols, so a student who has forgotten what the formula is FOR can still use the page.
- The notes name the mistakes. √(x²) is |x| and not x. A sum of two squares does not factor. f^(−1) does not mean 1 over f. A negative exponent is a reciprocal, not a negative sign.
- Every Algebra 1 chart and every Algebra 2 chart is drilled on the matching recall page, so no page you paid for goes unpractised.
- The three blank pages carry a name, date and class line so they can be collected; the reference charts carry none, because nobody hands in a reference chart.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Grades 8-12: Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and the algebra half of a test-prep course
- Interactive notebooks, binder reference, unit review, sub days and end-of-year revision
- Students who can do the work but cannot remember which formula the question wants
WHAT IT DOES NOT COVER
- Trigonometry, statistics, and geometry beyond the distance and midpoint formulas on chart 1
- Solving methods that have no formula to state: substitution, elimination, graphing and polynomial long division
FORMAT
- Print-and-go PDF, 16 pages, low-ink: black text on white with a slim yellow band across each heading, and no filled page backgrounds
- No answer key: a reference chart states the formulas, and the answers belong to the problems your class is working
