Students will read and analyze 3 points of view on what America's stance should be regarding the French Revolution by answering 30 questions and completing an extension task. The excerpts are from Hamilton, Jefferson, and an anonymous Jeffersonian This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate!
Sample questions include:
--How does Hamilton imply that Jefferson’s view on France is skewed?
--Under what specific condition can Hamilton see change coming to France?
--In this context, what does “will issue happily” mean?
--Does Jefferson’s opinion on neutrality change over the span of his excerpts, why or why not?
--Explain what this author asks of Washington in the fourth paragraph.
--Summarize the main point of the final paragraph.
