Description

My NAME. Area of Complex Shapes - Geometry Math Project. It's a great activity for the First Days of School, Back to School, Summer Camp, Summer School, or End of the Year Math & Art Activity to practice area calculations, using a ruler, measurement, and drawing.

If your students don't like geometry, be sure to check out math & art projects.

Students will design their own one-point perspective name to practice calculation of areas of composite figures.

They have to think about how to design their name so that they can later divide it into figures, which they know how to calculate the area of, like squares, rectangles, rhombuses, parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and circles.
