Battle of Lexington and Concord Primary Source Analysis Image Analysis Activity

Students will read, analyze, and compare and contrast two accounts of the Battle of Lexington from the point of view of a colonial Patriot and a British soldier from the Revolutionary War by answering 18 questions. They will then complete 2 extension tasks and analyze 6 images (prompts provided). The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Describe the situation the British found themselves in when they were leaving Concord.
--Explain the meaning of, "the guts of his gun."
--What accounts for similarities and differences between an account of a single event?
--Does technology such as video recordings and social media hold people accountable to the truth? Why or why not?
--Who determines what the truth actually is if there is more than one point of view?
