This is an approximate 60-80 minute lesson plan to help students learn about daily life during the Renaissance period. The purpose of this lesson is for students to have students connect their lives with the lives of people during this time period. This lesson integrates Kagan strategies, whole group and small group work to help students analyze the following questions: How did people view education during the Renaissance? What roles did men and women play on a daily basis? What impact did humanism have? As with many of my lessons, it uses Common Core Standards, DOK instruction, differentiation for SPED/ELL/Gifted, and supplemental materials that can easily be adjusted to fit your classroom needs.
