These 3-D writing cubes will immerse your learners into the world of descriptive writing and poetry. Designed for learners in upper elementary and middle school, this product is sure to add an element of fun to your ELA curriculum. There are 4 templates for your learners to brainstorm descriptive words about each season. They’ll use their 5 senses to describe the chosen season and then use the words to write a poem. Explanations of 5 types of poems are included, along with graphic organizers for your learners to brainstorm their ideas. They have the opportunity to learn about and write the following types of poetry: haiku, cinquain, rhyming, free verse, and acrostic. There is also a bonus graphic organizer for them to use if they prefer working with mind maps. Once they have completed their brainstorming exercises, there is an area for them to write their poem. You can cut out and display their final pieces as is or mount them to an artistic background that they create.
