Description
Students explore SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIPS and SUCCESSION through the use of pop culture. My Little Pony and Moana are used as "hooks" to grab attention and check for application understanding of science. Students sort a series of cards to align SUCCESSION.
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
Lab station materials provided along with a student worksheet.
Questions at the end of the lesson asses understanding. Answer key provided.
