Description
This power point is meant as a year long daily activity to increase accuracy and understanding of how to use a dictionary. The 180 words have been carefully selected to assist the student with vocabulary building as well. We have included slides that can be used daily for the students to record their word, pronunciation, part of speech, meaning, any synonyms and antonyms, guide words from the dictionary, and a example sentence. We have included the first/second grade student journal sheet to use for any accommodations your students might need. There is also a journal cover sheet and the complete list of words made into cards that can be printed onto colored cardstock and used in a word wall. The words are presented in alphabetical order, but can be used in any order you see fit.
