Description
Are your students struggling to identify odd and even numbers? This Odd and Even Numbers Card Sort Activity gives students hands-on practice sorting numbers while building confidence with number patterns.
Students will learn to identify odd and even numbers by focusing on the ones digit and recognizing that:
- Even numbers end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8
- Odd numbers end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9
This resource includes three levels of card sorts to provide differentiated practice:
⭐ Sort 1: Two-Digit Numbers (10–99)
Students practice identifying odd and even numbers using familiar numbers.
⭐ Sort 2: Three-Digit Numbers (100–999)
Students apply the same skill with larger numbers and learn to focus on the ones digit.
⭐ Sort 3: Four-Digit Numbers (1,000–9,999)
Students extend their understanding to larger numbers while strengthening number sense.
A student-friendly Odd and Even Numbers Guide is included to support students as they work independently or during small-group instruction.
