Description
For the past 10 years, I’ve used this game on Day 2 of my Health Science classes, and it has consistently become one of my students’ favorite activities of the year! It’s the perfect icebreaker to get students laughing, talking, and thinking while introducing them to the importance of evidence-based medicine and separating medical myths from scientific facts.
I’ve also used this activity during HOSA meetings, where it always sparks great discussion and friendly competition!
Download Includes:
- PowerPoint or Google Slides interactive game
- 15 medical myths and facts to challenge your students
- Teacher instructions
- Student response handout
- Optional printable FACT and FICTION signs
- Teacher answer key with current, scientifically accurate explanations and sources
I ALSO HAVE A VERSION 2 IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITY FOR STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED VERSION 1. CHECK IT OUT HERE!

Medical Fact or Fiction
Good engagement activity. I actually did it after that submitted their medical myths graveyard project. They thought it was interesting and were able to give their reasoning behind the fact or fiction of these.
