Created by Tazmin Jermier. This is a great project to do with students to help them delve deeper into the unit of the Original 13 Colonies in American history.
I use this as a social studies project with my 5th graders and it also doubles as a great practice for report writing, research skills, and informative/explanatory writing skills. (I also use this project after showing my students the three videos on Mr. Zollers website on the 13 colonies. You can find them on YouTube. They are awesome!)
Project is broken into 3 parts. Can be done in class or given as an independent homework/project assignment.
Includes rubrics for each section of the project. rubrics are editable if needed. Requires very little prep work for teacher!
