Description

This bundle introduces, covers, and reviews Andrew Jackson and his presidency (era of Jacksonian Democracy). These 20+ resources touch on his issues with banks, nullification, conflict with Native Americans, the Panic of 1837, the Election of 1836, William Henry Harrison's one month term, and more!  The presentation is provided as a PowerPoint and PDF for your convenience and includes a note guide.

One activity divides students into campaign committees for the Election of 1828 and culminates in a class vote for president. There is a one pager, a "Meet Andrew Jackson" resource which has students answer academic questions, complete an image analysis, and complete 3 creative tasks. There is also a trading card and cube project, an image and caption matching activity, a timeline project, a mix and match review, a Janus figure activity, the review game "true/false/fix," a Jackson interview activity, an editable test, and lastly, there are a variety of primary source analysis activities (some with creative tasks, some with images to analyze). Most activities would work well with a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.
