Description
For the start of the school year, after students meet your teacher, take 10 minutes to set goals for the year. I show the successful goals and goals in progress that I have for example. Then ask students to think about the goals they want to achieve, and write steps for reaching them, and post them at home. I even ask for volunteers to share to build class chemistry and set the tone for achievement for the year. This is a great back to school activity for the first day of school. It always yields dividends as a time investment and sets a good precedent for a healthy life habit.
