SHAPES AUCTION - Area, Perimeter & Properties - TRIANGLES & QUADRILATERALS Geometry GAME

Geometry Review Game - triangles & quadrilaterals (types, areas and perimeters, properties, converting units of length). Printable & EDITABLE.

Each team gets a catalog of shapes, scoring rules, and $1,000 to spend. Each figure is worth a different number of points. They will need to use their knowledge of the properties of the shapes and calculate areas and perimeters to discover it.

Students participate in the auction by picking up the auction paddles. The minimum starting bid for each shape is $50, and the next bid must be at least $50 higher than the current bid. Before we start the auction of the next shape, we discuss and award points together.

This game covers (criteria that you do not want to use in the auction, can be deleted from the table):

- types of triangles and quadrilaterals,

- areas and perimeters calculations (rectangle, square, triangle, parallelogram, rhombus, trapezoid),

- properties of triangles & quadrilaterals (sides, angles, diagonals),

- converting between units of measurement for length: meter, centimeter, and millimeter.
