Description
Use this center to have your students practice and review diphthongs ~ ew, aw, au, ow, ou, oo, oi, and oy ~ as well as consonant blends and digraphs. Also a good practice of isolating and blending phonemes. There is one sheet for each of these diphthongs.
You can have students spin a paperclip on the biggest snowman on each sheet to make it more interactive, or let them color in the "slices" as they use them to build words.
Most sheets require students to produce 8 words, but those with fewer word possibilities include a prompt at the bottom asking the students to interact with the words in some way (find rhyming words, make a sentence, etc.)
