Description

In this video and song George Washington and members of the Continental Army sing about the night they crossed the Delaware River to surprise the British and their Hessian mercenaries at Trenton. The song is sung to the tune of "Silent Night." Little did the world know that the first rendition of "Silent Night" took place at this historic event!

The singing is a little off-key but what do you expect from a recording that took place over 200 years ago. The lyrics are on the screen so you and your students can sing-a-long :)

The video will make your students laugh and learn! I use it every year as a supplement to my Revolutionary War Unit.
