Description

This product journey through 9 documents over the Crusades, Black Death and Hundred Years' War. The students have documents (three different levels; advanced, on-level and scaffold) to make them figure out how these events destroyed the systems of feudalism and manorialism of the Medieval Age. The students have a note sheet and depending on the level the teacher chooses to use guiding questions to help understand the meaning of the documents. The product also includes a PPT with a warm-up, lesson focus and expectations. The warm-up connects to previous knowledge needed (manorialism and feudalism) to set the students up for success. Finally the students demonstrate their learning by answering the big question:

Explain how the Crusades, Black Death and the Hundred Years’ War contributed to the end of the Medieval Europe? {Support your answer with evidence from the documents.}

This lesson was created on the Texas TEKS WH Readiness Standard 4F: Explain how the Crusades, the Black Death and the Hundred Years' War contributed to the end of medieval Europe.

The download is a ZIP file that includes the PPT (warm-up) and Word Doc(s) (3 levels of documents, graphic organizer and key).
