Description

Students complete an interview activity with King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, Robespierre, Napoleon, and representatives from the 3 Estates to review the French Revolution. Students first answer 8 academic questions, then they ask various figures/groups 6 "interview" questions, then they conduct each person's last interview the night before his or her death (5 questions and answers). The last two tasks are a bonus creative and opinion opportunity. An answer key is included where appropriate and this would work for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Describe how the King Louis and Marie Antoinette’s reign and personality contributed to the French Revolution. Identify and explain the non-monarchy factors that helped push France closer to revolution.
--List and explain the different governments France had between Louis and Napoleon.
--Was Napoleon a good or bad leader for France, and was he effective or ineffective? Explain your answer fully.
--Marie Antoinette, what would you like your legacy to be?
--Clergy, do you think this Revolution will be successful, why or why not?
--Do any of you regret any decision you made, or action you took, in the time leading up to the Revolution or during the Revolution itself? If so what and why, if not, why not?
--If you could each give yourselves one piece of advice at the start of the Revolution, what would it be and why?
