The Texas Frontier Jigsaw and Activities

Texas History students will learn about the people and events of the Texas Frontier after Reconstruction such as Buffalo Soldiers, the Red River Campaign, Adobe Walls, Quanah Parker, the slaughter of the buffalo, fighting Native Americans in West Texas, the Warren Wagon Train Raid, the Treaty of Medicine Lodge Creek, and MORE with this learning packet!

This can be completed as a jigsaw, stations, or learning packet (in which case it could work for a sub!). There are 3 readings, two graphic organizers, 10 comprehension questions, two point of view activities, a timeline, a map activity, and a Quanah Parker extension cube. A teacher information page and the answers are included where appropriate.
