Wonders 2020 5th Grade Vocabulary Taboo Game Cards

We all know how important vocabulary is to comprehension, but copying definitions or doing vocabulary worksheets can be SO boring. These Taboo game cards will have students thinking hard about word meanings while having a blast. Each card lists a vocabulary word for a player to describe, along with 4 words they CAN”T say, as teammates try to guess the answer. If you’ve played Taboo, you know how fun it is but if you haven’t, complete instructions for playing are included. It can be played in 2 teams, whole class, or even by a small group in a literacy center. This set includes all of the vocabulary words from the 5th grade Wonders 2020 Literature Anthology. Pages are designed to be run off back to back on either paper or tagboard and then cut out (8 cards to a page). The back of each playing card tells which Unit and Week the words are from to help you keep them organized. Running each unit off on a different color can make organization even easier. As the year progresses, including words from previous units allows for consistent review.
