Description

It's la casa & los quehaceres time and you want to share about chores around the house with your Spanish class! But covering random chores is taking too long & isn't providing enough input - your students need more, focused input with chores & the house in Spanish!

This gallery walk will provide your students with 12 focused readings written to provide structured input with Spanish chores and house vocabulary & structured phrases used with chores in Spanish. Your student will read about a student that has chores to accomplish... with the help of their talented pet friend. The chores will get done around the house thanks to the talented friend.

These texts work great as a Gallery Walk. Personally I use it in my Level 1 classroom - but check out the preview to see what works for you! The text of this gallery walk is editable after making a copy to level it up or down!

This gallery walk includes:
  1. 12 Spanish readings on chores around the house
  2. Note catcher to hold students accountable for their learning
  3. Focused vocabulary & structures to provide maximum input
  4. Editable Text to adjust vocabulary

Included vocabulary & structures: ayudar, poder, tener que, chores, house

What is structured input? These texts follow a pattern. They provide the same types of information in the same order for each text. This makes it easier for students to follow long while reading and focus on the Spanish instead of Spanish + trying to figure out what's going on. These text use a SMALL amount of vocabulary in each text, with new words supported by an image, to provide maximum comprehension. These texts use the same verb structures throughout to allow students time to process the input to maximize acquisition in a small amount of time.

This product contains a PDF download with a link to a Google Drive folder. You will need to make a copy of the files in the folder to access them.
