Description

WHAT IS THIS?

Teachers and parents, this is a picture-less short story that you can read aloud or have your child(ren) read if they have experienced the loss of a pet, a friend, a sibling, or anyone else. It isn't so realistic (hence the talking animals) that they might be traumatized, but it implicitly addresses death in a way that they might better cope.

I have written this in big text so children, if they read on their own, can take it in small chunks. You can print this, cut into halves per the lines on each page, laminate them, and stick a hole in the top left corner of each page with a ring so they can flip through the story as they please.

SPECIAL NOTES

***This is not therapy, and should be used with discretion. The method or timing may not be appropriate for some readers***

In honor of my brother Aaron who died from SIDS decades ago, and my other brother Nathan who died at age 24 from COVID in 2020. We used to send balloons to baby Aaron in the sky on his birthday, where I got the idea in 2017 for this story.
