Description
Students will review what they learned about the people, events, beliefs, developments, and more from Ancient India (Indus River Valley civilizations, Maurya, Aryans, Gupta, and more) with this timeline stations and map activity. They will first put together one timeline with 9 events and write academic identifications. They will then match 10 other events to their identification, expand on the identification, and put the events in chronological order. The third station (or task) is image analysis and the final station (or task) is a map.
Sample timeline items include Mohenjo Daro established, the Vedic Age begins, development of Sanskrit, Alexander the Great crosses the Khyber Pass, Maurya empire established, and invasion attempts by the Huns weaken the Gupta empire.
Teacher information and the answers are included where appropriate. This would be great for a sub if used as an individual or pairs packet!
